Anne Abbott

As the Policy Analyst for Youth Workforce Development and Educational Pathways, Ms. Abbott works with current DCAYA members and allies, government officials, and other policy focused organizations to actively achieve, facilitate, and communicate DCAYA's policy priorities and advocacy goals.She staffs DCAYA's Youth Workforce Development Committee and is the author of DCAYA's Annual Report Card on the District's Summer Youth Employment Program. Other issues Ms. Abbott works on include: reforming the District's system of career and technical education, expanding dual enrollment opportunities, increasing alternative education access and fostering quality improvement in youth workforce programs across the city.

Prior to her work at DCAYA, Ms. Abbott worked with non-profits at the local, national, and international level. She holds a Masters in Public Policy with a concentration in Social Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Marymount University. She is originally from Hartford, New York.
